[CSR ACTIVITY] THE CHARITY PROGRAM TO SUPPORT HOA MAI KINDERGARTEN, LÀO CAI IN RECOVERING FROM TYPHOON YAGI

In the final days of 2024, the collective efforts of employees and labour union members of the transcosmos Vietnam Labor Union and Company came together for a charitable program aimed at supporting Hoa Mai Kindergarten in Lào Cai to recover from the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi. This initiative is one of the company and union’s meaningful social activities, reflecting a spirit of solidarity and shared responsibility toward the community.

The donation campaign ran from October 8, 2024, to October 17, 2024, and garnered contributions from individuals and groups across divisions and projects. The Organizers collected over 70 million VND in cash as well as clothes and essential items to aid Hoa Mai Kindergarten. On October 19, 2024, the volunteer team traveled over 540 kilometers to deliver practical gifts and timely encouragement to the children and teachers at Hoa Mai Kindergarten.

Total donations provided include:

• Kitchen equipment and tools to support school operations: electric porridge cookers, bone broth pots, cooking utensils for the children, rice cabinets, printers, mats, foam floor coverings, meat grinders, and other essential items to help rebuild the school’s infrastructure.
• Essential supplies such as rice, clothing, and cash for 30 households to help them rebuild their lives after the storm.

After the program, Hoa Mai Kindergarten resumed normal teaching activities. The children are now studying in a safer and cleaner environment. Notably, the timely support has not only improved the school’s facilities but also brought hope and trust to the teachers, students, and parents.

We also express our heartfelt thanks to the school board and teachers at Hoa Mai Kindergarten for their enthusiastic cooperation, which enabled us to fulfill this meaningful mission.
